Anoushka Akhouri

Co-Founder and Therapist

I learnt the importance of counselling and therapy early on in life and believe that everyone can do with a little bit of help. My aim is to normalise seeking this help and making mental health services accessible to all. My experiences and work have encouraged me to continue growing and learning. My areas of interest include Trauma counselling, Coping Mechanisms and Self-Identity along with working on couple and family dynamics. I have also worked with individuals battling with issues such as depression, anxiety, addiction, loneliness etc. I am a queer sensitive therapist.
Even though my approach is psychoanalytic, I belong to a new school of relational and interpersonal psychoanalysis. Rather than focusing heavily on past events, I help my clients integrate their past with their present. My utmost priority is client beneficence and I strive to continue achieving that.

Co-Founder and Therapist

My passion for therapy has been driven by my belief that we are a product of our uniqueness and the universality of various experiences around us. This uniqueness contributes to our identity by influencing how we relate to ourselves and the world around us. I encourage people to find their own answers, confront their challenges, and push boundaries to expand their awareness of themselves and the world around them.
I am eclectic in my approach and lean towards Humanistic - Existential approach in combination with Cognitive Behavioural Techniques. I also use aspects of Narrative Therapy to help one realise and place their values and goals, empowering one to become an expert in their own lives. Embracing the narrative of our past, while not letting it influence our present is an important aspect of my therapeutic outlook.
Some areas of my work include Anxiety and Anger Management, Decision Making, Identity, and various psychosocial challenges. Through counselling, I hope to promote self-growth by bringing about clarity and unlocking human potential.

Samira Philip

Co-Founder and Therapist

I was drawn to therapy for its emphasis on the empowerment of self, which is now the foundation of my collaborative approach - emphasising on what you want, and creating a space that provides the comfort and confidence to get there.

Emotion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, are the approaches I follow and use to tailor to the client and their requirements. These systems provide ways to explore our inner world, unearth and structure cluttered thoughts and feelings, understand how it reflects in behaviour and relationships, and move towards improving our function and wellbeing.

Experience over the years has honed my practice in the areas of Anxiety Management, Trauma-Informed Care, and Couples and Family related issues. I look forward to supporting you in this journey where you will learn about yourself and develop skills that are not only relevant to the present, but that can be used life long.
